Scatter-brained!

Ok, first, I need to start with this... a 'coulda-been' halloween outfit for Aubrey! I so wish I had it in time, because quite frankly, its hilarious!! I mean, seriously!! how miserable (but cute!) does she look?!? LOL! :) Too funny..

The other night Aubrey had a first! (well, I'm pretty sure anyway..) Her first taste of BEEF!! Can you believe it, I gave her beef!! I had to face the facts that just because I don't eat it doesn't mean she shouldn't. I will let her decide that for herself. I was just thinking about all the different foods babies should eat, and vitamins and all that.. and, well, it probably wouldn't hurt her to have it. And, of course, she loved it! (Has she ever not loved something I have given her to eat??) Here is the evidence: Speaking of firsts, Aubrey is now saying "HI"! And it is sooo cute, I will hand her (or she will take!) my phone, but it up to her ear and say "hi!" I wonder where she learned that?? :) She is so cute sometimes! Which is really good, because frankly, she has been kinda workin my nerves this past weekend!! (lol) (although, it really isn't funny.. ) :) There are 3 teeth right at the surface on the top just waiting to make their debut, and I have been desperately trying to convince them to "come out already!!" so that my sweet child will actually be sweet again! And, to top it off, she now has the attitude of a 15 year old. Who does she think she is??? For real though, I really just don't understand that babies can already act out in such a way: screaming, throwing their backs back, falling on the floor, fake crying! I mean really, just 10 months ago she was not even functioning!! It really does boggle my mind (yes, boggle!). I really need her to understand the meaning of the word "no".. please!! :) As my dad would say, "what part don't you get? the "n" or the "o"??" thanks dad..

Yesterday though, she was actually being really sweet, for more than a minute too! I was attempting to get her to take a nap, so we were both laying down in my bed, and she was just being SUPER giggly, more than ever! I would just look at her and she would bust out laughing! So, finally, after a lot of playing, I try and calm her down, and we're laying there with her back to my face just kinda cuddling, and I start running my fingers through her hair, and she softly laughs.. I do it again.. laughs louder. Really? Just stroking her hair? Silly girl! :)
Sometimes she just melts my heart :)

Um, my baby is going to be 1 NEXT month!!! When did that happen.. ?? :(

Ok, moving on! :)

This past weekend, I had a surprise visitor! Lauren! It was not a planned trip (all the way from Colorado!) but a welcomed one. It was a much needed friend time, and I'm so glad I was able to spend some time with her :) The L-Crew+ Aubrey :)

I feel like I have so much on my mind, and don't really know how to process/organize/express it all.
Life is busy. Life is hard. Life is confusing. Life is fun. Life is good.
Oh.. life..
I'm thankful for it! I just wish it was easier! Can I get an "Amen!" :)

Ok, now that that just took a different turn.. lol.
Didn't mean to get all emotional, or whatever.. :)

'Tis all.

This is a truely great blog... it made me laugh so hard! You totally nailed the attitude. Carrie understands "no" but GOD FORBID she hear it! She also did that giggly bed time thing a couple weeks ago too. It's truely melt worthy, and makes you forget about all that teenage angst in a toddler body for a bit.

YAY for new foods. I had to do the same (though there aren't a lot of foods I don't like). I HATE cooked carrots and was very reluctant to give them to her... I figure if she likes it, I'll have to cook it and of course she loves them.

"I mean really, just 10 months ago she was not even functioning!!" - Funniest thing I've heard in a very long time!

Sometimes they're such terrors, othertimes too cute... They're lucky for those "other times". Carrie's started fake coughing... She'll just look up at you and let out this "eh eh" and want some attention. it's too funny. :)

Another Amen!! Your post was funny and it seriously didn't sound like it could be true when you said Aubrey will be 1 next month! I just can not believe it nor do I want to because if Aubrey's is about to be 1 then that means Lola is just around the corner! Wow- this mom stuff flies by... you are doing a great job. It's obvious Aubrey LOVES ya!
